How do you sell online in Algeria?

To sell online in Algeria you need three things: products ready to ship, a store with a link you can share, and a delivery company. Cash on delivery solves getting paid: the customer orders online and pays the courier when the parcel arrives.

What you need before you start

Nothing technical. What stops most sellers isn't the tool: it's launching a store before having anything to fill it with. Get these four things together first.

  • Products you actually hold in stock, with their sizes and colours.
  • Clear photos on a plain background — the photo is what sells, and a misleading one comes back as a refused parcel.
  • A selling price that already covers your cost, your packaging and the risk of a return.
  • A phone number you genuinely answer: with cash on delivery, confirmation happens by phone.

Launch your store in six steps

  1. Create your seller accountAn email, a password, and your 7-day free trial starts — no card is asked for.
  2. Pick the store name and linkYour link becomes wovendz.com/your-store. Use the same name as on Instagram: your customers must recognise it's you.
  3. Add your first productsTitle, photos, price, sizes and quantities. Start with five well-made products rather than fifty rushed ones: a store thin on detail reassures nobody.
  4. Set your delivery feeA flat amount per store, added to the cart and copied onto every order. Start from your carrier's real rate, not a guess.
  5. Share the link everywhereInstagram bio, WhatsApp status, TikTok description, Facebook groups. The link replaces "DM me for the price".
  6. Handle the orders, then shipEvery order lands in your dashboard with the wilaya, the commune and the phone number. You confirm, you create the parcel with your carrier, the customer follows the delivery.

How you get paid

By default everything runs on cash on delivery: the customer pays nothing when ordering, pays the courier on receipt, and the carrier then remits the money for delivered parcels. It's the method Algerian buyers know and accept. The money trail is broken down in our guide to cash on delivery.

You can also switch on online payment to be paid before shipping. It runs on your own Chargily account: the money goes straight to you, Woven never touches it.

How you ship

Woven connects to four carriers — Yalidine, ZR Express, Maystro and Noest. From an order you create the parcel and follow its status without opening another site. To see what each one really gives you read the carrier comparison; to decide what you charge read how to set your delivery fee.

What it costs

Woven takes no commission on your sales: COD money moves from the courier to you, and online payments land in your own Chargily account. What you pay for is a monthly plan that unlocks the number of stores, products, staff and statistics you need. The trial runs 7 days, no card.

The mistakes that cost the most

  • Shipping without calling the customer: the parcel leaves unconfirmed, and that is where returns start.
  • A delivery fee invented at random that eats your margin on every order.
  • Photos borrowed from a supplier: what arrives doesn't match the listing, so it comes back.
  • Letting orders pile up without updating their status — you lose track of what shipped and what got paid.

The first point deserves a whole guide of its own: how to reduce returned parcels.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a commercial register to sell online in Algeria?

Woven does not ask for a commercial register to open a store. Your legal and tax obligations depend on your activity and situation — check with the relevant authorities. Woven does offer seller verification, reviewed by hand after you upload your documents, which puts a verified badge on your store.

How long does it take to open a store?

The store itself takes minutes: account, name, link. What takes time is preparing photos, prices and sizes. Set aside an evening to publish your first five to ten items properly.

Can I sell everywhere in Algeria?

Yes. The customer picks their wilaya and commune at checkout, and you ship with the carrier you choose. Woven covers every wilaya in Algeria; the areas actually served and the delays depend on the carrier you use.

I already sell on Instagram — why add a store?

Because Instagram is for being discovered, not for getting paid. A store gives you a browsable catalogue, structured orders with address and phone, live stock and delivery tracking — without leaving Instagram, which stays your source of visitors.

Does Woven take a percentage of my sales?

No. Woven takes no commission — there is no commission mechanism in the platform at all. You only pay your monthly plan, and your sales money never passes through Woven.
